Castration Safety

Hello everyone,

My life has been busy these days, and I have not been able to visit the Eunuch Archive as often as I used to. However, I do often think of the many caring and open-minded people here.

I recently received an E-Mail which I think might have been from a sting operation targeting non-professional cutters. The writer addressed me as a doctor, even though I don't profess to be a doctor anywhere on my site, asking for my services to remove their testicles or a referral to someone who would. If it wasn't a sting operation, it might have been someone who did not read most of my website before writing, or just completely misunderstood me.

So all I did was suggest contacting Dr. Kimmel or Dr. Barham from my website. But this along with another recent incident of a cutter being arrested, prompted me to address some safety issues on my site. One thing I like to not is that do-it-yourself castration will not save you money, because you will end up with terrible hospital bills, and even so you might not actually obtain castration this way. I have added a new page at:

Please be safe, and if you are sure you wish to be castrated, please do it intelligently.

On that webpage, you said:

Some persons with a thick skin have looked in the phone book and called up all the doctors listed until they found someone who was willing to perform their surgery.

Were any of these people non-transgendered men? Did they succeed?

Most if not all of those who found a willing surgeon in their locale were in the process of transitioning, usually already taking estrogen and had a therapist letter. This is unfortunate, because I do realize the lack of options for the non-transgendered men who would find an improved quality of life from castration, and I do wish it were easier for them to obtain this. One of the things I really wish for is to see more options available for those who are not transgendered.
