Just a note to Byzwriter,

This is a very well written yarn, with all of the intensity and the 'freshness' of the Byzantium series. The entire "idea" of it is presented well, and the point of view of the slave being neutered is an outstanding presentation. You literally "feel" as if it is you that is caught up in this historic setting.

I recommend it highly.
