How to Bathe a Cat...

1. Thoroughly clean the toilet.

2. Add the required amount of shampoo to the toilet water.

3. Get the cat and carry him to the bathroom.

4. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids (you may need to stand on the lid so that he cannot escape).

CAUTION: Do not get any part of your body too close to the edge, as his paws will be reaching out for anything he can find.

5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power wash and rinse" which I have found to be quite effective.

6. Have someone open the door to the outside and ensure that there are no people between the toilet and the outside door.

7. Stand as far from the toilet as you can, and quickly lift both lids.

8. The now-clean cat will rocket out of the toilet, and run outside where he will dry himself.

One of my girlfriends used to get her cat high on marijuana and then lift the toilet seat. The cat would then jump on the toilet and hit the water, shreiking and screeching. It also would run into walls.

Actually, most cats kept indoors 24 hours a day rarely need baths. Still, if needed, I pay a local groomer $20 to do the job, which includes clipping of nails. They are at....

Every so often, the sewage plant down the pipe from A-1's house, finds a very wet and malodorous cat, wandering around the edge of a treatment pond. Nobody at the plant can figure out what there is in the pond, that would attract a cat.

Could be, Andrew--sewer rats. Or maybe A-1 raises white mice, and bathes them the same way he does cats.
