Uhm, a lot of questions and everyone's answer will be different.

There is not a lot of pain and suffering from a simple orchiectomy.

It may not stop the sex drive. It should change, though. I had no libido while on anti-androgens prior to castration, but after the surgery and giving up anti-androgens, it sure came back, albeit more of a female libido. Some of my friends don't really have a libido until after castration.

For a man, there is often depression, and this has been in a number of posts recently. Read some of the recent posts by Jesus--they are required reading prior to getting cut.

And do read just about everything in the Archives, too. There is a wealth of information, and a lot more than you will get just on this thread.

I wish you the very best.

Hugs,

Kelly :)

Well, I like being a eunuch, and feel the surgery by Dr. Spector was worth it. But stop your sex drive?

Maybe. You will still have your adrenal glands. Younger eunuchs can remain quite sexually active. But for older eunuchs, the main benefit is being able to CONTROL your sexuality, to have the ability to ignore sex altogether if that is what you want.

At age 59, I now masturbate about once a week. No big deal. Nice. But not a driving force in my life.

After 2-1/2 years, I have no fluid, which is mainly from the prostate anyhow. It takes time for the prostate to shut down.

After nearly 3 months I still produce some dropplets, which are almost transparent... It's liquid from the prostate
