I wonder,
I hate to burst everyon's bubble, but is it possible that somebody was trying to overload the server?
Just how many users does this place usually average?
Just curious...

Doesn't really look like too much out of the ordinary, actually.

What has actually changed is a little piece of programming wizardry that factors in visitors to the entire site (well, any file that has a .php extension) instead of being just limited to the message boards.
Its the first step in a site re-design that's geared for better integration with the vBulletin user database.
I am sure Talula will fill in with more details as they emerge.

I couldnot help but notice that just at the time, for personal reasons, that Bboy
is "retiring" that we knotched up over 5000 registered members. These are people who have chosen to identify and be part of our Community Site.
The casual visiting figures will blast that statistic away I know, but I think it's
a great achievement. Well done Bboy for your work in building the EA and well done to all the 5300 or so who have signed up as members.
If you yourself just visit as an Unregistered Guest, please consider joining - when it comes to using facilities like the Chatroom and the Boards if you've made a small effort to support us by joining, you will find that members will
be very pleased to join in and react with you with empathy.
Congratulations EA on the 5000 plus, let's keep building!
