I am curious about what must be the scores of "triggers" that lead a boy or man to genital modification or abuse. Why does a man choose to abuse, mutilate, or remove his penis or testicles? For me, I can remember two distinct events that led to my intersted in genital modification. The first was when I tore the foreskin adhesions loose from my glans, and saw my cockhead for the first time. I didn't even know there was a "head" at the end of my penis at that time. Seeing it through the pain and the blood was an extremely erotic experience, and started my lifelong love/hate relationship with my foreskin and glans. The second trigger was my vasectomy. Until that time I had not even considered ball torture or castration. Seeing my huge, distended, black and blue scrotum several days after the operation, and the fact that I had been freed from the worry and responsibility of having more children, was a very erotic and liberating feeling. Since then, I have enjoyed bruising and torturing my testicles to try to get them to look like they did after the vasectomy. Eventually they will probably come out.

If others of you can remember specific events in your life that has led to your decision to modify your genitals, would you mind sharing?

Well for me I started out abusing my testicles when I was about 13. I soon found that I enjoyed sticking sewing needled into my sac, and eventually into my balls. I was lucky to never have any problems with the sewing pins since they were not sterile and had other potential issues. I do recommend that anybody wanting to do that invest in sterile hypodermic needles.

I really can't explain why I started abusing my balls but I had always been curious what they looked like and made sevey attempts to open my scrotum to view and play with my nuts when I was in my early teens.

I know my interest in mods started when I heard my parents talk to someone mention how discusting they thought people were that had their dick pierced. When I heard it was possible to get dicks pierced I started doing research.

I did my meatotomy, and cut open my sac while still living with my parents, but it wasn't until I finally moved out that I started doing more mods. It has been a year and a half now living on my own and I have currently have 20 different piercings, partial glans split, partial scrotal split and a nice partial subincision.

I soon plan on obtaining my ultimate goal of castration, just have to get things all worked out.

Sigh....abuse? Modification? Trigger?

Sir, you might want to keep an open mind that the reason some of us elected to be castrated had NOTHING to do as such with a desire for genital modification. Nor did have anything to do with a desire for abuse, humiliation, pain, sadism, or masochism.

Quite simply, in my case, there were no triggers involved of any sort. For some of us, and this includes me, the castration was a means to the end, not the end itself. Some of us wanted to get rid of the effects of testosterone in our lives, and castration was the best long term method for that aim. We might have gone the chemical route, if we had the money and access to such drugs, and didn't mind the slight risk of liver problems.

I repeat, for me and others, castration is not the reason we got castrated. We got castrated to remove the effects of the hormone testosterone, OK?

I don't think glans was inferring that everyone was into abuse and genital modification, but a lot of people into abuse and genital modification are also into castration, penectomy and nullification.

For me as long as I can remember I have hated getting erections and the changes that occurred during puberty. I sometimes wish I could have been castrated before puberty, and I know others feel that same way.

The biggest problem when you are young is having people that listen, and I knew well enough not to mention wanting castration to my parents and friends, so I tried doing different things to abuse and destroy my balls.

For me castration and being rid of testosterone has been my ultimate desire since I can remember. Finding ways to abuse, damage and destroy my balls has become an obsession and lead to my interest with piercings and other genital modification.

Finally starting myself on Androcur has been great, I love the results that I have had. Lack of morning erections, lowered sex drive, clear cum, etc are all great to me.

I will still continue with the modifications after I am castrated as they have become part of me over the last few years as I explored how to finally be free of the bloody Testosterone produced by my testicles.

These days when I take a shower, I feel kind of disgusted as I wash my body, being reminded that I'm covered in body hair. My ideal body would be androgynous, without any genitals and without any body hair.

I'm hoping that laser hair removal will become a reliable technology in the near future. Otherwise, it would take a lot of electrolysis, probably more than I'd want to go through!

I imagine that someday in the future I will eventually become a full nullo but for me I do enjoy the looks of a nice set of cock and balls, and will keep modifing mine until either I find a look and feel that I can enjoy for life or till everything is removed.

Right now I am very glad that I have been on Androcur for two months since I have always hated spontanous erections, and really never cared about the desire or need to get off all the time.

Well I can relate to the hair removal, I'm working on doing self electroysis, although I do need to motivate myself to work on it more often. I will have to wait and see what happens when I finally go through with my castration.

Technically, everyone has a trigger for genital mods, be it the urge or the actual deed. One could call illness a trigger, even if it is not actually the subject of the question, which I feel implies WANTED and not NEEDED genital mods.

If you think about it, penile cancer or gangrene could be the trigger.

Just wanting to be RID of testosterone could be called a trigger.

However, since we're probably talking about psychological triggers, then the question does not pertain to some.

As many have stated for themselves, my own interests began around the age of 10 or 11. All fantasy aside, I was a choirboy, scared to death of puberty, grew up in a farming area, and wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with shaving, deep voices, body hair, erections, etc.

There's never a good farming accident around when you need one, either.

My interest was triggered by hearing my mother describe the reactions of baby boys during RICs at which she assisted as a Depression era aide to a rural doctor in La. Needless to say, none of her sons were cut. I wanted to test the 4 skin sensitivity to pain so around 13 I pierced my 4 skin for the first time.
