So, I got this idea after reading about the serial assaults that prompted Vic Cheney to dedicate himself to castration research...

How about a psychopath, possibly female, who sneaks into a male-only university dorm at night, knocks out her victims with chloroform rags on the mouth, and then slashes off their penis and testicles? The story could deal with the commission of the acts, and how the victims cope with life afterwards. Most would hate it, one of them could have had a secret desire to be nullified like us, and a few could grow to like it.

Interesting concept. I think that I in particular would be interested in reading that kinda story. When I was in college a few years ago, one of my fantasies was for a woman to attack as you laid out. Of course, I would NEVER want this to happen to me in real life. The FEAR of involuntary castration is the reason the fantasy has a real potent effect.

That being the case, my suggestion would be to focus on several of the guys who lost them and how the cope. How does his friends an roommates react to knowing their friend was unmanned? Be realistic. It would be a situation that the archive rarely focuses on in a realistic manner. How would the press cover such a series of attacks? Could the fellow keep his name out of the news? Does the woman take both penis and testicles or just one or the other? Perhaps she takes the balls of one roommate and the dick of the other.

My suggestion would be to show the emasculation of several guys, but focus on one in particular. The Everyman, with average genitals (like most of us have.) Show him using them in an everydays since. Going to the shower room, pissing, trying to get laid, maybe he just got a steady girlfriend. He doesn't even realize how important his genitals are to him. They have just always been there. Then move on to the emasuclations, followed by our hero's attempt to cope. The ending could be uplifting or tragic.

But I WOULDN'T add the element that the guys secretly wanted to lose it. To me, that makes the fantasy feel unrealistic. The vast, vast, vast, majority of guys would not want to lose it. What are the chances the psyco woman would happen across one who did? Besides, if the guy secretly wanted it, there is no tragedy for him.

One pitfall other pitfall that stories like this often fall into is taking a totally str8 character who, after losing his dick, suddenly becomes gay so he can "enjoy" gay sex. Sorry, a str8 guy wouldn't suddenly be attracted to gay sex just becase he lost his dick. He would still be attracted to women and want to be with a woman (the tragedy).

Perhaps he would buy a strap-on dick, a very realistic one, and try to fuck his girlfriend with it. It would give him no feeling of pleasure like before, but he is going through the motion and trying to still be "a real man." The character can think about his lose as he humps his woman, a motion he hasn't felt since he was emasuclated. Or, at most, he might want a woman to use a strap-on on him so he can at least get a sensation from sex. Perhaps his woman buys a double headed dildo and humps it on one end while the other end penetrates our hero. He can now feel some form of sexual response, but at the cause of being penetrated by a woman--a major humiliation for a straight male. He can think about that as he listens to his girlfriend moan in orgasm.
