I'm sure someone has asked this before, but what is the easiest way to get a prescription for castration? I'm horribly shy, and have trouble just going for a regular checkup.

Arc, Hello there. I have to say I agree very much with what Sag111 has written. Getting the prescription is a big hurdle to cross. It means a
big amount of courage to find the words to say what you wish.
You will be amazed though that when your own well-being is so strongly at issue, you WILL find the courage to chat with a Dr on your practice.
If you find your personal MD/Dr somewhat daunting to face, make an appointment with another member of the practice team.
We all think it is going to be difficult to express our wishes but the courage comes and is not met by hostility. There is nothing that hasn't
been heard by any Dr I am sure and an ounce of your own courage now will deliver both good continued health care for you and good monitoring
of the affect of any prescribed drugs.
Should anyone face hostility from a Dr. then they have rights as a patient to complain within the healthcare group; simply ask the receptionist for the phone number and address.....but seeing your own
practice healthteam/Dr is by far the best route for your health.
Remember an ounce of courage now or a kilo of it will make you feel so much more happy and you will know that your ongoing health needs are being monitored.
One additional note I would add and this may seem difficult, but it is important. If the notes supplied with the drug say, "No Alcohol" then
in this case they mean it. Discuss this with your Dr. also and do keep us informed on your progress here. Take care, good luck and you know....you have the support of a whole community of friends here.

Being reticent about talking with the doc about things like sexual issues is normal. Your task is to get past that. Have you tried writing or emailing? This is a great way to get past that first step. Send a note or an email that simply says, "I'm having problems with an overactive libido, and I would like to discuss some ways to deal with it. Can I come in next week for an appointment about this?" This way, when you arrive, the worst part is over, you're not worrying about shocking the doc, you won't clam up, etc. He or she will have had a chance to think about the problem, and you'll feel better knowing that he will be ready to discuss it.
Try it. It worked for me.

Starting Androcur as soon as the bloodwork results come in.

Have tour testis shrunk? If so, ask your doc if the shrinkage will lead to permanent atrophy.

Why not just do it yourself? Order some Depo-Provera online & inject it yourself or have someone else give it to you. I hear it costs a fortune to pay a doctor.

Madscientist i did order my own depo provera when i first started taking it but after listning to the people in the archives that knew better i knew that the rite thing for my health was to stop playing games and see my doctor so the proper blood work and testes could be made .If you dont do this you could put yourself at risk of a stroke or liver damage so by all means talk to your doctor first and you never know it mite be paid for by your ins like mine is
