Lonely with a broken heart.

Artist: Chris Isaak

Song: Lonely With A Broken Heart

It's hard to know the way I feel, not knowing if your love is real.

So I won't, upset myself.

Seen you run from man to man, I could hate you but I understand.

And I don't.

I blame myself.

It gets lonely.

Lonely.

Lonely with a broken heart.

It's hard to know what I would say, if you would ever walk away.

But I won't, concern myself.

It's hard to know what I would do, if you would find somebody new.

But I don't.

Upset myself.

It gets lonely.

Lonely.

Lonely with a broken heart.

When I'm thinking of you, baby I still love you.

If you ever need me, baby please believe me.

Lonely.

Lonely.

Lonely with a broken heart.

A broken heart.

A broken heart.

A broken heart.

Yeah!

It's hard to know the way I feel, not knowing if your love is real.

But I won't.

Upset myself.

Seen you run from man to man, I could hate you but I understand.

And I don't.

I blame myself.

When I'm thinking of you, baby I still love you.

If you ever need me, baby please believe me.

Lonely.

Lonely.

Lonely with a broken heart.

(Lonely)

Thinking of you.

(Lonely)

Still I love you.

(Lonely)

With a broken heart.

It gets lonely with a broken heart.

It gets lonely with a broken heart.

A broken heart.

A broken heart.

Yeah!

Ohaw!

I know, if it is Chris-Isaak-turn here with me, I`m aware that I`m realy not in a good situation.

Are you all right?

Come on now guys! With as many of us as there are on the Archive, SOMEONE here must know the perfect partner for our beloved Bboy. He has to exist somewhere out there – unattached, good-looking, articulate, intelligent, well-educated, age 30 to 40 or so….

If this keeps up, I may have to do to Bboy what I’ve threatened to do to Paolo – move to his hometown and set up shop as a local "schadchen". (Matchmaker, in case your Yiddish is weak.) This straight, Buddhist, geezer hasn’t done any gay matchmaking yet, but it can’t be that much different from the straight kind. I have plenty of experience with that, in three countries so far.

In case you thought that "yenta" was the proper Yiddish word for matchmaker, yenta properly means "gossip" or "busybody," and is usually (but not always) restricted to the female sort. (Sexism in language.) I do yenta pretty well too. Sometimes it goes along with the role of schadchen.

If things don’t start moving right, I may turn into the Twin Cities’ semi-Jewish schadchen. I can see the ad in the Yellow Pages, the late-night TV infomercials. I’m getting bald enough that I might even need to use a can of spray-on hair for the TV spots…. If you want to protect Bboy from the embarrassment of my interference, get to work!

THIS Jesus doesn’t believe that anything is sacreligious.

Who would ever want to believe in a diety without a sense of humor?

William Blake

Love's Secret

Never seek to tell thy love,

Love that never told can be;

For the gentle wind doth move

Silently, invisibly.

I told my love, I told my love,

I told her all my heart,

Trembling, cold, in ghastly fears,

Ah! she did depart!

Soon after she was gone from me

A traveller came by,

Silently, invisibly,

He took her with a sigh.

And from Shakespeare:

Blow, blow, thou Winter Wind

BLOW, blow, thou winter wind,

Thou art not so unkind

As man's ingratitude;

Thy tooth is not so keen,

Because thou art not seen,

Although thy breath be rude.

Heigh ho! sing, heigh ho! unto the green holly:

Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:

Then heigh ho, the holly!

This life is most jolly.

Freeze, freeze, thou bitter sky,

That dost not bite so nigh

As benefits forgot:

Though thou the waters warp,

Thy sting is not so sharp

As friend remember'd not.

Heigh ho! sing, heigh ho! unto the green holly:

Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:

Then heigh ho, the holly!

This life is most jolly.
