I assume the below question should be addressed to Paolo
I recently submitted Chapter 1 of a fictional story I wrote about “Trish” with a female circumcision theme (and a few other areas thrown in). Usually EA posts stories very quickly, but in this case some time went by and I saw no post. I assumed it was a technical glitch, so I resubmitted the story (but with modified title and some changes to content – I can’t leave well enough alone). After several days, the second version wasn’t posted either. This prompted me to ask the following questions:
1. With the changes to the Board, does one now have to be a registered user to have a story posted? (If the answer to this question is “yes,” then question # 2 doesn’t matter)
2. What are the latest guidelines on permissible story content? I’m wondering if I may have tripped over one of those.
Thank you for clearing this up for me.

Re: Question About Story Posting
I do remember talking to Paolo and him mentioning the two same/similar stories with different titles.
That's always a good way to raise the suspicion of the editor(s)
My only comments are that the main focus of the site is on castration and penectomy, which are male related functions.
We do post the occasional female circ and/or cliterectomy story.
With regards to your story in particular I don't remember any specific issues, but Paolo is really great about working with authors if there is anything needing to be done before releasing the story.
Paolo is a lot more picky than I am, which is a good thing. When I was doing his job I never wanted to hurt anyone's feelings so I promoted a lot of stuff that in hindsight could have really used some work before letting loose on the general public. If your story needs some tweaking, please don't be offended. We, all of us, really do appreciate the work and effort it takes to write something - anything. We want to maintain a certain level of quality here and want your story to reflect well not only on the Archive but on YOU as the author as well.
We're not overly picky, but in general spelling and punctuation do count. The story should be well formatted into paragraphs (use the preview function to verify) and should have some theme and recognizable plot.
You don't have to use the registered submit function, but there are some advantages to doing so, like being able to track how many hits your story takes.

Re: Question About Story Posting
Bboy:
Thank you for your quick reply! I have several penectomy-themed stories already posted in the EA. But when I saw a few female circumcision stories and female responses showing interest in such stories on EA, I decided to try my hand in that area as a change of pace. I also included lactation in the female circumcision story after reading a post by a woman who expressed an interest in that, as well as few other things.
Sorry about the double submission. I should have added a note to the second submission explaining that. I was just so used to seeing rapid postings. I honestly thought that technical changes to the site might have caused loss of the first submission.
I’d be really surprised if either lack of plot or bad grammar could have been the problem in my case, as I’m ultra careful about that. It must have been something else. But I’m all for any editorial tweaking that will improve the product. It’s always hard to get local editorial expertise for these types of stories. lol
Anyway, I’ll put that epic on hold until I have more specifics. Thank you again.

Re: Question About Story Posting
To make this story postable, it needs two things:
1. Which copy do I post?
2. Someone, male or female, needs to have something CUT OFF.
Thanks.

Re: Question About Story Posting
Paolo:
I would really appreciate it if you would delete the two versions of Chapter 1 that I submitted this past week. I want to submit a reworked version of Chapter 1 that more explicitly addresses your Item # 2 above. I’ll also keep your feedback in mind in writing any subsequent chapters as well.
Thank you again for your patience in helping me get started in an area that’s new for me. J

Re: Question About Story Posting
re #2 ... at the very, very least it needs to be clear that something is going to be cut off someone in the near future. Sometimes people don't always finish stories
Unless you're a regular contributor, better to either have some cutting in the first chapter, or hold the posting till you get past that point so the editor can see where you are going. If you want to post right away chapters leading up to the cutting, a personal note to the editor (Paolo) will usually suffice.

Re: Question About Story Posting
To Bboy or Paolo:
I’ve resubmitted Chapter 1 of the above story with major revisions to address the comment. Of course, this is the only the first chapter, so there’s more planned for the subsequent ones. Thank you again.
