It would seem that the current situation in Iraq would be a goldmine of story/fantasy ideas.

War zone, angry locals, young american army guys away from home.

Some of you guys should give that kind of story a go.

My preferance would be none of those rape or abuse type stories (common from Nam period stories). It is a lot harder to sympothize/empathize with the unfortunate american if he is an evil person.

But stories about unfortunate war injuries that don't make it into the news (or do); angry locals taking out their frustration on a local G.I.

That kinda stuff might be interesting.
