Hi to all: Everything here is pretty ok. Not great but pretty ok. Anyway I have a question for anybody who really really knows. Please if you don't please don't guess or pontificate...ok? OK! The big question is this: I am on testosterone replacement therapy for the time being. I have the gel at. 5mgs. and the patch 24/7 at another 5mgs. I am gaining weight, that I never had before. Is it the T or is it the fact that I am a Eunuch? Id appreciate any and all information including web sights for information. Thanx! Scottie

When may testicles stopped making asmuch testosterone as they should I went form 180 lb to 240lb. I'm on HRT now and I'm on the way down I was a 44 waist I'm now a loose 42 waist and I'm at about 210 lb.

My guest that you need a little more testosterone, or adjust your food intake. I now that the HRT I'm on is not the same as having my testicles working. It's one of those YMMV things.

Not sure about this Scottie but I will share what my doc told me. According to my doc, the only difference re: weight gain between eunuchs and "whole" men is the difference in testosterone levels.

I cannot comment on your levels because I know little about HRT, myself avoiding it as if it were poison. But it seems to me as if you are getting a fair does of T. Have you had your blood levels checked.

My personal opinion and experience is that it takes extremely little testosterone to return the libido and energy to pre-castration levels. I would look for other reasons: exercising less, eating more, or perhaps (as in my case) drinking more beer or whatever...

I've gone from 220lbs to 265lbs in about 16 months of reduced testosterone levels!

Note that there is also "water gain" effects with hormones. Not all weight gain is fat.
