Does Hulk Hogan Know???

Post by JesusA (imported) »

In the Japanese news, while I was there last week, was an article about an MTF transsexual who is trying to become a professional wrestler. Quoting from the newspaper article: "the demure, kimono-garbed Miyabi Kanda is about to make Japanese history by becoming a professional wrestler - the first transsexual to do so...."

Ms. Kanda made her professional wrestling debut in a tag-team match in April. She was partnered with legendary wrestler-cum-porno star Chokoball Mukai [yes, his name really does translate as “Chocolate Balls” and was once the name of a popular candy] as they took on grappler-turned-politician The Great Sasuke [shades of Jesse Ventura] and professional women's wrestler Hikari Shinohara.

In describing her background, Ms. Kanda told the reporter: "Even when I was little, I preferred to play Mama than anything else, and fell for another boy when I was only 5. My parents found out I was a cross dresser when I was 17, so I was kicked out of home. I had nowhere to stay and ended up going from place to place until I finally settled in Ni-Chome," [an area of gay bars in Tokyo, a short walk from city hall] Miyabi tells Flash [a popular weekly magazine]. "I had my sack removed at 18, and the stalk was plucked the following year, so I've undergone a complete sex change."

The Japanese medical establishment seems to have no problem with removing testicles and penises from boys below the age of legal adulthood (20) in Japan. There seem to be quite a number of men who have had either just testicles or both testicles and penis removed. Some consider themselves transsexual and on their way toward becoming women. Others dress and act as male and consider themselves gay. Both sorts show up on TV fairly often. While I have yet to do any field research on the matter, I have never heard of a straight eunuch in Japan, though they probably exist. Maybe on my next trip to Japan I’ll have to spend some time in Ni-chome, rather than the straight pleasure quarter of Kabuki-cho.]
