Now that online pharmacies have become big business, they are getting scrutinized by lawmakers.

The article fails to mention the role of the patients in all this. The online pharmacies don't force people to buy from them; people consciously make a decision to do so. Some people buy from online pharmacies because they can't get what they want elsewhere.
