Is premarin taken by itself a good drug to make someone chemically castrated? I aksed because I was speaking to my doctor today and I said I wanted something could chemically castrate me somewhat but not let me grow breast or cause very little breast growth. She recommended premarin taken by itself. Now I my question, can it be affective taken by itself?

How long have you been taking premarin, to make you impotent?
Most interesting...

You could try Androcur to make you impotent, and Tamoxifen to keep gynecomastia away.

The doctor's recommendation is odd. Estrogen is usually given to cause feminization, particularly breast growth. Small doses are unlikely to be very effective for chemical castration, and larger doses will cause feminization. Usually anti androgens are much more effective for chemical castration. Anecdotally, she male porn actresses take estrogen (probably much larger doses than you would be taking) w/out androgen blockers in the belief that it will keep their male potency longer. (In porn and escorting, you can make a lot more money if you have functioning male bits.) If your goal is chemical castration w/out breast development, an anti androgen such as Spironolactone is far more usual.
I am not a MD, but have run trans support groups for years and have listened to hundreds of hours of discussions of the effects of various hormone regimens.

I'm not a doctor, but I'm quite sure the doctor is wrong. Premarin is basically estrogen. Estrogen WILL cause breast growth. Estrogen WON'T directly depress testosterone. Estrogen in sufficient quantity to do such things would cause serious risk of blood clotting. You'll basically be horny with feminizing body with increased risk of stroke.
What you want is an anti-androgen, plus a SERM (to prevent residual estrogen which all men have from dominating and to prevent osteoporosis)

I would suggest estrodiol/estrace over Premarin. It's cheaper and can be taken subligually but I wouldn't recommend it for chemical castration because you will grow breasts!
