For fantasy ONLY!!!
A couple of days ago I drove out to see my brother. Before heading the mile and a half up his steep drive, I checked his mailbox. (It was a Sunday, but he doesnt check his mail very often.) There were two copies of the Jeffers Livestock Supply catalog, so I liberated one of them.
The catalog items below would look fine framed in a shadow box, with or without their packaging. Some of them would be interesting sitting on a coffee table. They are all for veterinary use and ARE NOT, repeat, ARE NOT designed for anything else. Ive castrated enough cattle, sheep, and goats to know that livestock owners are not concerned about loosing an occasional animal to (a sometimes painful) death. They are less concerned than they ought to be about pain and suffering even for successful castrations. (Im not a PETA sympathizer, but I sometimes come awfully close when I help with cutting the steers!) Even with significant experience, I would never risk using any of these on a critter that was not expendible! I would NEVER consider castrating my dog with any of these. I care far too much about him.
Consider them fantasy toys. Read about them. If you purchase one, dont play with it in any way that might hurt someone (or possibly kill him). Frame it. Put it out on display as a conversation item. Dont play with it!
