Update on my cats, 21 April

Another quick update on the cats, for the few who are interested. After three and a half months, Conway seems to be willing to accept me. I think he has finally realized that he is not in his third foster home, but in his final residence.
Today I was doing laundry, which includes my bed sheets, the cats bed covers, my bathroom towels, underwear, socks shirts, pants, etc all in all, a good five loads worth of laundry. This left the cats with no regular place to sleep. Pearly went up to The Loft and into the Penthouse. I saw Conway go up, look in at Pearly and Pearly stayed there. Conway came back down, and we had a petting session on the stripped bed.
Conway now imitates Pearly in one aspect. When he wants a petting session, he yowls. Loudly. And he usually is standing on the bed next to his sleeping pad. So I start petting him, and after awhile he sits down on his hind legs, then his front legs fold up, and he is resting on the pad. He does not purr at all, but by this time is making little um sounds every few seconds.
I got up and continued laundry, house work, cleaning, dish washing, and so on. I brought up the freshly laundered bed sheets, looked up, and there was Conway on The Loft, sleeping about six inches from Pearly, who was still snoozing in The Penthouse. This is the very first time I have seen the two cats sleeping so close together. They stayed like that for two hours before Conway woke up, came back down to the newly made up bed, and demanded and got another petting session.
