To both issues the answer is yes. I am on very light Testosterone and getting erections is no problem for me. When I cum and I have twice now its just a thinner milkey liquid not the thick stuff like before, but there is a release. I am stopping my testosterone now so I can get down to my basic Eunuch self. Scottie is right, the answers are “yes” and “yes.” There are alternative ways to replace the Testosterone - injections, skin patches (Androderm) and skin cream (Androgel). There are even magazine ads for Androgel for hormone replacement for the elderly. (I’m now an AARP member and get the ads!)

I know personally of three voluntary eunuchs who have greatly regreted their decision to be castrated. Most, however, seem to be very happy about their decision. For those still considering, it is most definitely irreversible. Make certain it’s what you want for the rest of your life. HRT can reverse most, but not all, of the consequences.

Without violating anyone's anonymity, could you give more information on the three who came to regret their decision? How was the castration done, and what were the original motivations, and what changed? Are there any lessons to be learned and passed on to others contemplating this operation?

I was castrated in 1997. Over the next two years or so I became about 80% sexually dysfunctional. I could get hard, but not always. I could still cum, but they were almost completely dry.

For reasons I would rather not discuss, I started taking Testosterone injections. Within a month I was once again a raging bull (sexually). I could get hard, even when I didn't want to (remember when you were 16?). My orgasms became wet again. But most important, I was once again HORNY ALL THE TIME! It was really horrible!

I took HRT for about a year, then stopped again. I mean, really, why on earth would anyone submit to castration, only to take HRT?

Bottom line, in my opinion: If you want your hormones, keep your balls! If you don't want them, have them cut off!

By biggest regret as a eunuch is that I succumbed to external pressures and started HRT. It will not happen again. I am a eunuch and happy abouit it!
