Hard to believe that it was only 22 months ago that I was castrated by Dr. Spector, his eunuch assistent Jeff Adams, and Nurse Ellie.

Yes. Feel free to ignore any posts from me titled "xx months a a eunuch". Some do, some don't, your call. I also post updates on my cats, same criteria.

Andrew,

I have been one of the lurkers here for many years. 15 months ago I was castrated and have been enjoying my new life. I enjoy the insight that you share in your posts and for taking the time to keep us informed of medical issues that we face. Thanks againΒ…nuenuch :)

Well, guys, for reference of those who are "younger" eunuchs than I am (April 5, 1997), I have to admit I have recently had to begin a low dose of testosterone gel.

I do not know if it is the fact that I am a eunuch, or possibly just my age (64), but this winter I have found my energy levels so low I found it difficult to function. I lead a very active life, working 8 to 10 hours per day, writing at least 2 hours, then dealing with family problems, etc, and I do not want that to change; but I found I simply did not have the energy to deal with everything.

My doctor prescribed a low dose of testosterone gel about a month ago, after having been warned by me that if my libido returned I would stop the treatment in a heartbeat.

So far my experience with the gel has been very good. My energy level is up, libido has not increased significantly, even though I have noticed that I am starting to have morning erections again.

The good thing about the gel is that it is absolutely contollable, and there are no dramatic changes in testosterone levels from day to day. Suffice to say, I was pleasantly surprised.
