just to say that ive never actually come across a thread about a discusion on penectomy's... is this because the subject scares people? or just not many people have an interest?

Penectomy has been described here before.

I have a penis, although it causes me annoyance a lot of the time, due to spontaneous erections and nocturnal emissions.

I also don't like how I have to be careful when I sit, lest I crush my testicles painfully.

This elaborated video seems real indeed, but how come in the begining it was so bloodless? any1 wonders?

was that real??? it made me feel a bit queezy, i dont have a very strong stomach for that sort of thing

Incisions do not bleed profusely unless they are arterial. Then, electro-cautery must be used to seal the bleeders. It takes a bit for the venous blood to seep out. Hemostasis is performed with the thick cloth-gauze sponges and packing an incision with them does a pretty good job.

The surgeon in that video was performing a sex-change operation. If you watch carefully you can see him dissect the penis removing all of the erectile tissue and leaving the skin, de-gloving it to fashion it into a vagina.

Of course, this video was extensively edited. This procedure takes about 5-7 hours from beginning to end and requires extensive plastic re-construction experience on the part of the surgeon, not to mention an extensive command of urological surgical techniques.
