Sorry, but if you want to write about roman times slavery,

you should first read texts from roman authors. If you do so, you will discover that your understanding of slavery is very different of the historical reality 2000 years ago in our "old" Europe.

The story of roman empire is quite different of "indians" versus "cow-boys", the slaves have been teachers of caesars for philosophy.

I am conscious that those words are uncomprehensibles for most of people today.

You should tell Russell Crow he had research people as did most hollywood blockbuster movies. Its only a fantasy story if you dont like it dont read it. same as walking out the cinema if the film offends you or your concept of history.
