MSNBC and Racism

MSNBC, the cable television station, recently made a rather drastic change in its programming. It has hired a political satirist named Michael Savage to host his own television show. MSNBC says Savage will provide opinion and analysis with an "edge."
Hmmmmmmm- wonder what they mean by edge? If we base it on Savage's past commentaries, the following would be his edge on events.
Savage refers to non-white countries as "Turd World Nations."
He says "if we open our doors to immigration from non-white nations, these new people will soon be defecating on our country."
"Homosexuals are part of the Grand Plan to cut down on the white race of heterosexuals."
"Mexicans breed like rabbits."
Recently when high school girls were delivering food baskets to the poor in San Francisco, Savage said " these girls know the dangers of these poor people and thus must look forward to being gang-raped by them; they probably even find it exciting."
"Children killed by guns are not kids; they are ghetto slime."
How is it that MSNBC is allowed to hire a bigot and give racism a forum in the national media. Where is their civil responsibility?
One last note: MSNBC is owned by General Electric and Microsoft so both corporations share the bad decision and the responsibility for this idiotic decision.

But you miss the point,
Savage brings his own audience of narrow minded people thtat listen and worship his words. MSNBC will gain in the ratings.
As the song says: Money makes the world go around!!!
ANd so do the Sweeps for the networks.

can boycott MSNBC sponsors.

I'm never certain if Mr. Savage (not his real name) is for real. It seems that he makes fun of the "positions" he takes.
The San Francisco Bay area is such a right-wing place, anyway. Remember how Pete Seeger's father got red-baited out of the University of California Berkeley. I doubt people in other places listen to Mr. Savage.

Of, if they do, they get the irony.

What,
Oh satire, San Francisco right wing LOL, I remember several years ago a city counsel woman and democrat lost her re-election bid because she was not far enough to the left for her voters.
As for this new news guy, I have never herd him, but remember Rush Limbaugh has a show and is a bigot also.
We need these guys in shows, its the real live Archie Bunker show. Puts everything in its place and makes you think and most of all examine your own convictions.
My personal feeling is that they should air equal time to, lets say Ralph Nadir, now I am a bit left of center but I would bet from Ralphs point of view I would belong to the John Burch society.
Everything we believe is from our point of view and not one of us agrees 100% with the next person. I will probably get disagreement on this last statement also.
Dont you just love it?
I like watching News International, its a whole different view of what the US based stations are saying, try it and compare, then get back to me.

Rush is a conservative who is open to opposing views, not a bigot.

is right of center--in my humble opinion.

And yes, the The New York Times is a conservative publication. The Wall Street Journal is a right-wing one--at least the editorial page is. CBS and Dan Rather are conservatives.

UN inspectors say this was once and could still be the site of BW research. The facility includes a terrorism training facility where they train on this civilian airliner. (READ THE CHILLING TRANSCRIPT) (
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline ... odada.html) The entire facility sits in an ox bow of the Tigris River, 25 km south of Baghdad. This series of shots gradually gets closer to the planes fuselage, located at the southern (bottom) part of the facility, above the bend in the river. IKONOS travels 423 miles above the earth's surface at a speed of 17,500mph, but it's done a better job of pointing this out than the UN Inspectors who saw it on the ground.
