GREAT chapter!

David has done it again! The Tribes, chapters 29 and 30 are even better than what has gone before. An incredible and gripping saga, far more eloquently written than most of what sees ink on paper.

I was especially happy to see solid heterosexual behaviour (even though the graphic one is between Zoot and Ebony when I would have preferred more gentle and appealing characters than a psychopath and a sociopath). There are enough hints of what’s going on off stage to keep me happy that sex is present in a full rainbow of possibilities in the post-virus world. I’ve even happily gone through all of the gay sex because the writing is just too good to miss even a single word of it.

We certainly have seen the beginning of a rebirth of civilization from the two "civilized" tribes. There is even a true re-naissance with the impending birth of Amber and Dal’s baby and the announcement that others will soon be on the way.

Though Keith has lost his lover, he has found his flock of kids. Will Keith again find true love before the finale? Will Selene and Ryan finally get together? Will Ryan decide that being a eunuch doesn’t mean that he can’t be a good husband and lover? What about the relationship between Jack and Bray? Will they become loving uncles to a large flock of baby Shiprats?

Now that Gull has been captured, how much information will he divulge? Will he prove to be the coward that so many bullies are underneath? How will the war with The Brotherhood play out?

As I said, a gripping cliffhanger that leaves this reader anxious for more.

Yes agreed - two more great chapters - can't wait for more!
