Some of you may recall the several discussions last year about whether one seeking castration by Dr. Kimmel should bypass Dr. Spector and contact Kimmel directly. In the end, I altered the information on my website to direct prospective patients to Dr. Kimmel.

This has now caught the attention of the clinic, as I just now received an E-Mail from Philadelphia protesting the info and directions to contact Kimmel directly. Why would Spector go out of his way like this to insist that he be a middleman for those seeking castration by another doctor? For now I plan to leave the contact information as is, although if Philadelphia is really unhappy with it I may just remove the contact info for Kimmel/Spector entirely, as my instincts tell me I should not revert to what I had listed before

I was under the impression that it was Dr. Kimmel himself who suggested bypassing Spector. Perhaps you might call Dr. Kimmel directly and find out from him personally what his preferances are.

Dr Kimmel / Dr Spector

I think It was I who said this originally, I know when I was there with Dr Kimmel he was not happy with the work that Dr Spector was doing. In my case Dr Kimmel knew I was coming the date, not the time and the amount paid was also in question. I asked Dr Kimmel if the contacts that ask me about castration if I should still have them go through Spector. He hedged the issue at first but as we talked he said that it would be ok.

I don’t know what kind of deal Spector made with Kimmel other than passing his clients on to Kimmel. I think this and like sites are bypassing Spector. I don’t think this is a bad thing, Dr Kimmel has a large building that he owns and rents out clinic space to other Doctors. He is well routed in the Philly community, Dr Kimmel is about 60 yrs old and has about 30 plus years experience in doing castrations etc.

Now I do have a problem with Dr Spector as he scheduled my appointment for the day before Labor Day, about 2 weeks later I had my round trip ticket paid for. Spector called and said OH MY I made a mistake, no one will be there that day, so I asked him about the Monday before Labor Day and he said that would be good, I waited a couple weeks and then paid $100 to change my flight times. About a week went by when Spector called and said OH MY, I made a mistake, the office is closed the two weeks before Labor Day, He offered to return my deposit to make it all better and then we could start all over again. I asked him to reduce the price of the balance by $200 as it was his fault and he did agree, only after I reminded him that this was a year late, then asked him about the air fair from the year before when I has scheduled the surgery and was notified a couple of days before I was to go by his office manager that the doctor had fallen and hurt his hip and would need to canx. I lost that amount. and through the several conversations I had with Spector I kept getting the feeling that he was keeping track of my appointment on a sticky post it note on his frig. Late July I called him again and after several minutes I got the feeling that Dr Kimmel had no clue that I was coming. I then asked for Dr Kimmel’s Office Phone number which he gave me. The next day I called Dr Kimmel’s office and talked to Mary, she was so happy that I had called because the only thing she had was that I would be there on September 6th , she did not have a time and there was some question as to the balance due. We got that fixed over a few phone calls and from that point on I only contacted Dr Kimmel’s office.

Before I would change your web page I would contact Dr Kimmel and ask if it is ok to reference and post his phone and fax number. As for Spector if he is the one complaining oh well.
