So im laying there out like a dead fish. The doc did what is called a radical proceedure. He tried to bring the testicles up throught the lower stomach as he wanted to check for cancer. When he tried to cut the testicles out he found that the Chem Cast had fused them to the inner wall of the testicular membrane. He was the only one who knew the truth of what happened to my testicles. Well he then had to push them back into my body and then he had to cut the scrotum open and then scrape them and cut them away from the inner testicular membrane. I got the scars to show for what he did. FUCK!!!!! Well when I awoke in the recovery room I was told of all this and I was shown the scars. I also was told that I had to given a general becasue of the complications. Other than one Nurse in recovery that I got friendly with there was no off color remarks. She said with a smile, and I didin't mind either... Gee your going to look cute down there when the swellling goes down. That was ok with me she was a cutie. Then it was wait wait wait wait and then off to my home. I am on pain meds still and antibiotics. Three days into this one of the sutures decided to open up and there was blood all over. 911 to the hospital ... re-stitched and now im recovering ... I hope. So there you have it all. I am more than glad to help anyone who seekds my advise or experiences. When everything settles down then I will know how wonderful it will be. Take care to all...... Scottie a REAL REAL EUNUCH

This is all very well, but please take it easy and do not over-stress yourself. Your body has been through a traumatic experience, and needs healing time. Take your medications, take it easy, relax, and heal heal heal.

Remember that post-surgery depression can happen to anyone. If it does, you have my phone number, so call. You have the EA message board, so write. Here is what a friend wrote to me shortly after my own castration....

As re calcium: I use a calcium supplement called "Bone Complex" from Willner Chemists in New York. (www.willner.com) You can order it over the net. It is totally amazing! I genetically have osteoporosis, and I am using a drug called Fosamax, but was still getting burning sensations in my spine despite using it. The Bone Complex tabs (two tabs once or twice daily depending on your needs) totally knocked that out. It has totally stopped any symptoms. If you want good long-term calcium protection that really works, try it, you'll love it.

Also, a few more things:

Castration does not change our habits, it makes things nice and quiet, so we can have a noise free environment to work on ourselves. I.e. if we are angry before, we will be angry after, unless we work on the source of the anger. The eunuch stillness really makes things nice, and after a while you will not think about sex very much, but will still retain the capacity to become sexually excited about someone you meet that pushes the right buttons.

If you find that you are getting a bit depressed or getting hot flashes, you can get an herb at health food stores called Dong Quai. It really stops the hot flashes and depressions. Also, be easy on yourself. You may get a lot of negative thoughts and regrets about castration, and feel that you look: weird, or freaky, or less than a man, when viewing your genitals in the mirror. This is normal, and it takes about a year to mourn the loss of your old body and accept your new one. We all go through this phase, and it's OK to feel any feelings that come up. The good thing is that after about a year, you will feel so good you will be in orbit!
