No idea what's wrong. Used to use APRIC CHAT, but the last couple of weeks it doesn't work.

Maybe you use a firewall.....like Zonealarm!

Zen you have to allow your explorer to connect and allow server.

But vhy not install ze pretty little mIRC or bersirc program.

I don't know what anyone did, but today, Sunday, 2 February, I tried to join the chat room...and it worked! Not sure why, but I hope to be more active in the future.

I have tried and tried and have never been able to get into the chat room

Any suggestions???

on the front page of this site is a link, follow it and you should be chatting within a minute or two.

unable to connect:java.net Exception: Software caused connection abort:connect.

Any suggestions?

I try every time I come here and still am unable to get in the chat room. Could it be XP or possibly my router???

Make sure you have the latest Java software installed. You can get it here. (http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp)

I have updated my Java software as you suggested... It was way out of date, however I still get the same messages and I am not able to get into the chat rooms
