Got rushed to the hospital last night 911 style. 3 major sutures got hung up on a scab and decided to break. blood everywhere. Well they fixed it in the er but these people didnt know me so they hadnt seen a eunuch. Well now they have!!! this morning went to my doc and he re-did them the way he wanted the stitches and checked all the others too. He also put me on some antibiotics becasue I have developed an infection on the skin of the scrotum.

I would like to share something that is real important here! Due to my choice of lactic acid , the testicles formed scar tissue and attatched themselves to the inside of the scrotum on both sides. When the doc did the radical proceedure, he could not bring the testicles up and through the lower stomach so he had to cut both testicles also to clean all the testicular tissue out of the sac. I am black and blue from my waste to my thigh on the left. The scar on my belly is 12 inches long. The lateral incessions on my testicles are quite large, becase of the testicle attatching itself to the inner layer of tissue. On top of all that I was in surgery for 3 hours. So now I know.... Chem cast.... Lactic acid... and even self castration can and is very dangerous. The good news is everything works and I am healing. Im a miserable sun of a bitch but I will heal. One other thing... I think anyone who wants this should really really really think about it a long time before injecting or cutting. Im going off to sleep now as I am tired from the pain pills.

Please if you want to reply to this.... my home computer does not work like my office computer. Please just email me at jjfmiller41@aol.com so i can reply to you. Other wise it will be a week before I can respond via office computer. Scottie

when I had my appendix out, they had to operate after for adhesions and blockages and then left an incisional hernia. I always got skin infections. . . . bright red patches . . . .and I always had to take antibiotics or use creams to get rid of them. It's fairly standard.

As for the stitches coming loose, As long as you were sensible enough to go to the hospital to get it fixed, it's more of an story for posterity about when I called 911 and yelled EMERGENCY!!!!

I had wire (metal) sutures in me and mono filament sutures that used to float to the surfaces weeks and months later. (they would yank them out with forceps)

Ain't surgery FUN!!! (sarcasm there!)

Stay in contact with your doctor, take it easy and let it heal. Be careful!

and take a few pictures of the black and blue for the gang here to compare scars for posterity .... (a teeny bit of humor there)

kinda been there, done that, sort of . . . . .

Dave

Yes, even though he costs over $2,000, Dr. Kimmel is still the best choice. Unless, of course, you want a vacation in Thailand, in which case one of their surgeons would be a good idea.

But I am glad you are healing, so please TAKE IT EASY!

Do doctors make an abdominal incision for all castrations? I thought it only required an incision in the scrotum.

Most surgical procedures involving the testicles done by doctors are done through a low abdominal incision. They heal easier, have lower rates of infestion and they are less likely to bleed into the scrotum causing a hematoma (bruise) that can take months to fully resolve. The only exception to this that I know of is vasectomy.

I have heard that cut to long through the scrotum can cause fluids to run back into the spermatic cords and cause discomfort and even pain.

I recall Robby mentioning this and it seems that the cords have to be cut as short as possible.

So I presume that is the reason why surgeons rather cut them through the abdomnen.

remove an infected testicle was through his abdomen. Certainly, there is no such thing as minor surgery. I'm still amazed by how I have not had complications from my recent bypass surgery. Be careful guys.
