REVENGE WAS ALMOST A CUT BELOW

January 3, 2003 -- A Long Island man was busted in a sting operation for hiring a "hit man" to sexually mutilate his girlfriend's ex-husband - who's charged with raping his 15-year-old daughter, authorities said yesterday.

David Quinn, 37, agreed to pay $1,000 to an undercover state cop posing as a contract thug - who was told to slice off the penis of the accused rapist, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

The 60-year-old alleged sex fiend, whose name is being withheld by The Post to protect the victim's identity, was arrested Sept. 18 after his daughter told a friend he had been molesting her for six years.

He was charged with rape, sodomy and incest and is being held at Rikers Island on $100,000 bail. He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.

Police got wind of Quinn's plan four months ago, when the enraged man began seeking revenge for the brutal attacks on his lover's daughter, cops said.

They set up a sting operation, and Quinn contacted the "contract enforcer" on Dec. 17, giving him a detailed description of his girlfriend's former husband, police said.

Quinn allegedly met with the cop to arrange for inmates to cut the girl's father in jail.

A-1, any excuse will do. What I've never understood is why so many people try to hire killers. Almost every month, I read about someone being arrested after they approached an undercover cop and tried to hire him for "wet work." If I hated someone enough to want them dead (this has never happened), I would do it myself. That would cut the risk of arrest, as well as venting my anger.

...I remember a story about a woman who shot a man for molesting her son.

...she was acquitted.

You know, with all of the rampant sex in our society both Gay and Hetero it always makes me wonder why somebody will molest children.

A fifteen-year old is almost an adult but in this case I am sure that this was all one-sided.

It is sick, you know?

Reminds me of the redneck joke, "...hell, how could I have known that she was 14?...hell, she looked 16 anyway..."
