Hello everyone,
Some of you may have noticed that I haven't posted much recently. I have been a little busier lately, partly because I am now actually in the process of transition. I have already legally changed my name by court order, Social Security, drivers license, my bank account, and just now in my workplace. Last night I informed my mom about my name change, and she is not taking it very well. So my legal transition is done and my social transition is in progress as the year ends.
I don't know what 2003 will bring for me. It seems that my personal employment status is stable in spite of my transitioning there, and I am in no apparant danger of being terminated. But the chicken plant itself has had financial problems for some time, and there is a threat of reduced hours and even occasional rumors of the place shutting down. Even if the chicken plant does not reduce hours, I would still like to get out of there and hopefully find new emplyment at a place where everyone knows me only as Sherry and not know that I was ever anyone else.
I don't know what my income situation will be in the coming year, except that I am now paying off a car plus I need to maintain my recent hair replacement system. If my new income falls a little short, or if anything should happen to my computer, I may be without internet access for many months or even more than a year until my financial situation improved again.
I hope I don't lose my internet connection because I would miss you all if I did. But I want you all to know that if I am gone for an extended period of time, that I am somewhere that I am happy, because I am finally being my true self, and there is nothing better in the world than being able to be your true self. And everyone here would remain in my memory, especially Paolo, Andrew, Christina, Kelly, Scottie, Riverwind, and many others.
I hope 2003 will be a good year for all of us. Congratulations to all of you who wanted castration and obtained it in 2002. For those who still seek castration, I hope you will accomplish it in 2003.
Sherry Joanne
