Update on Sherry

Hello everyone,

Some of you may have noticed that I haven't posted much recently. I have been a little busier lately, partly because I am now actually in the process of transition. I have already legally changed my name by court order, Social Security, drivers license, my bank account, and just now in my workplace. Last night I informed my mom about my name change, and she is not taking it very well. So my legal transition is done and my social transition is in progress as the year ends.

I don't know what 2003 will bring for me. It seems that my personal employment status is stable in spite of my transitioning there, and I am in no apparant danger of being terminated. But the chicken plant itself has had financial problems for some time, and there is a threat of reduced hours and even occasional rumors of the place shutting down. Even if the chicken plant does not reduce hours, I would still like to get out of there and hopefully find new emplyment at a place where everyone knows me only as Sherry and not know that I was ever anyone else.

I don't know what my income situation will be in the coming year, except that I am now paying off a car plus I need to maintain my recent hair replacement system. If my new income falls a little short, or if anything should happen to my computer, I may be without internet access for many months or even more than a year until my financial situation improved again.

I hope I don't lose my internet connection because I would miss you all if I did. But I want you all to know that if I am gone for an extended period of time, that I am somewhere that I am happy, because I am finally being my true self, and there is nothing better in the world than being able to be your true self. And everyone here would remain in my memory, especially Paolo, Andrew, Christina, Kelly, Scottie, Riverwind, and many others.

I hope 2003 will be a good year for all of us. Congratulations to all of you who wanted castration and obtained it in 2002. For those who still seek castration, I hope you will accomplish it in 2003.

Sherry Joanne

I would hope that you could at least maintain your web site. Your pages on castration are still the best single reference to be found on the internet.

But whatever happens, it has been a honor to know you and call you friend.

Sherry,

That is fantastic, one more step taken. Your mother will come around I hope, she just needs to remember unconditional love. I know my own sons donΒ’t always do what I would like them to do and sometimes I would like to disown them but in the end unconditional love wins. I am so excited for you as I know this has been a long time coming. Keep us informed if you can if not we will understand.

You always will be special to us. Whatever happens in the new year, I hope that it will be for the best. Although I have never met you, I have come to know you. I would very much like you to consider yourself to be my mentor. You have provided me and countless others with information to enhance our lives and to find our own destinys. That is no small feat. Whatever happens, I want you to know that you have touched my heart and that I will always remember you for what you have done for me. I too share your feelings of happiness and without you, I may not have come as far as I have. You have led the way, and I am following in your footsteps. My best wishes to you for a happy and prosperous new year.

Christina:

I always feel good when I hear that my site has helped others. I would like to let you know that in my experience, the first steps of this journey are the most difficult, and then the latter steps are easier as we've overcome our fears and our transition gains momentum. Thank you for your kind comments.

Andrew:

I think it was you who actually led me to the eunuch archive. I often noticed on my site statistics that my site visitors were linking from the links which you so often posted here.

If I ever lost my internet access, I would hope that my pages would remain up and accessible to all. My visitors are infrequent enough that downloads rarely exceed the permitted data transfer rate for my free site. The last time that happened was after the incident in Michigan when someone's castration complications by a cutter made the news. In any event, I have HTML copies of my pages on hard drive and on CD so that if my site was ever lost, I could put my pages back up when times are better for me.

I also wish to thank Trixie, Mac, Riverwind, and Old Softee for your kind replies.

Love,

Sherry Joanne
