Does anyone know how long it takes before your balls die if you use an elastrator band on them?
Um, well, the question is, how long before YOU die if you use an elastrator band?
I know that sounds harsh, but using an elastrator band is a bad bad thing to do.
Foremost, if it's that little-green-band type of thing, then it doesn't work. It is not nearly strong enough to cut off blood supply in an adult human male (those little green bands are meant for baby lambs and kid goats). But it CAN damage vessels and nerves, and besides that, it's FREAKIN PAINFUL!. It wouldn't be ten minutes before you're hopping around looking for scissors to cut the band off. Maybe you have a higher pain tolerance than I, but I suspect that it would be much more than *you* can handle.
Second, is health. If you do manage to cut off blood flow but decide the pain is too much and cut off the band, you run a serious risk of blood poisoning. Also, the band may lacerate your scrotum, providing an entry point for infectious agents, possibly causing a systemic infection (remember, there are major veins and arteries in that area, and it doesn't take long for an infection to find it's way to the bloodstream from there).
AND, even if you don't cut off the band, another risk is that you impair the bloodflow enough to induce partial necrosis in the testes, but not enough to keep blood that's exposed to the necrotic tissue from getting into the body.
And, that's just the testes. You also run the risk of gangrene in your scrotum!
My advice to you is, take an androgen blocker for a period of time (eg, chemical castration), and see if that's right for you. Then, if you want to continue, go see a doctor for an orchiectomy. If nothing else, there is Dr. Spector/Kimmel in Philly.
The bottom line is, DON'T HARM YOURSELF!!!! Take unto yourself the doctor's oath of "first do no harm" and treat your body with the care it deserves. Do try to remember, you're stuck with it, ok?
