To the Author of "Pussy Envy"

Your story is alive and well in the tank.
I am sorry that I have not had much time this weekend to look into things, but there are some issues on this end that need to be resolved and corrected before I can let it all out to the public. I hope to have it resolved by Monday evening.
Sorry for the delay.

Gene,
Those are some great thoughts. Recently, I have heard of many men having "Pussy Envy". I too first had "Pussy Envy" when I was old enough to realize the difference between girls and boys. That was even before I knew anything about the disadvantages of a penis and testicles, about how inconvenient they are, about how painful the testicles can be, about hormones and the adverse effects of testosterone on the body, etc.
When I was a boy it was thought that all girls and women had penis envy and that there was no such thing as Pussy Envy. Any boy who even acted shy or less macho than the others was called "sissy", "pussy" or "girl" and was constantly teased and ridiculed. It was not a nice thing to be a sissy or pussy. I remember the negative comments of adults when Christine Jourgenson (the first MTF sex change) returned from Denmark and went public with her sex change.
It appears that Freud was living in a fantasy world when he said that all women had penis envy. I guess that comes from the ancient belief that the male genitals were greatly superior to the female genitals.
I can't see why your stories were questioned as being unacceptable for the board. They are your feelings regarding the topic (eunuchism and nulloism). Nothing was presented in a derogatory or degrading manner.

Where in the world did you get the idea that the stories were being questioned as unacceptable?

I must have mis-interpreted Paolo's comment.

...is a prime example of why many things are best left unsaid...but I still applaud the fact that we are open and courageous enough to say them anyway...and then to talk things through.
Now. Will somebody please call the Middle East and teach this skill to them?

The issues on this end, for your information, involved similar titles that might have overwritten one another or cancelled one another out due to the pre-existence of three "Pussy Envy" stories by Gene from an earlier date. Since 1-3 were improvements, there was no reason to leave the old versions lying around.
Posting/editting stories is easy. Working on submission data in the headers and pulling old ones back OUT to work on or delete is hard. I had to invoke the help of my Faithful Consort ... I mean, Cohort, to do that.
There's also the issue of time. Contrary to popular belief, the three of us have lives OUTSIDE of the Internet and this site. I know that's hard to accept, but deal with it.
Once again, I'm simply taken by the fact that my post was read in a completely wrong light. I'm not surprised though.
I guess from now on I'll have to make a more detailed analysis of the situation and a very lengthy post describing why stories aren't popping up on the Archive the moment they hit the tank. Then again, maybe not. That's MY business.

I meant it to be a compliment.
But I understand that you are stressed. But you do not have to give anybody here on the Archive an explaination for anything if you do not feel the need. It is O.K. We ALL trust YOU!
It is O.K.
Furthermore, I don't want anybody to have to go to the Middle East unless it is absolutely necessary.
Anyway, diplomacy is a learned skill that I am still trying to perfect. I just wanted to compliment you on your progress in this area. It is a very, very difficult area in which to make progress. Believe me, I know.
You are doing good. You go, guy...

A-1,
I think you are, for once, being extremely diplomatic and very much doubt that it is your post which has caused offence. As you rightly point out, Bboy, Paolo and Talula run the archive and without them it simply would not exist so they can be as arbitrary as they like and do not need to explain.
The fact that they do explain; do offer explanation and apologies when something goes wrong is one of the reasons why this archive works so well.
I admit to feeling guilty because when I read Mac's post, I felt that he was reading something into the situation which was not necessarily there. At the time I did consider attempting a post which might soothe ruffled feelings on both sides but could not get the right words - so I chickened out.
Paolo was vague about the difficulties but I certainly did not get the feeling that he was being difficult - just that he was under pressure. I know that Mac was upset over the deletion of one of the pictures he posted and I think that this might have coloured his views.
Thanks for actually doing something, I still think that I should have tried.
LOL

It appears that my comment was also misunderstood. That is why we must give each other the benefit of any doubt.
Paolo, Talula and Bboy are doing a great job. They are frequently under extreme pressure, and like all of us do not always take the time to look at all of the possible interpretations.
I was only complementing Gene on his stories and said that I didn't see anything wrong with them. I mis-interpreted Paolo's remark as meaning that they contained some objectionable material since the reason for the review wasn't stated.
Yes, Paolo, Talula and Bboy have the right to reject any stories or posts without giving reasons.
For the record, Bboy didn't remove any of my posts. He merely questioned one of the pictures which I posted and I voluntarily removed it.
