The time is coming to expose you my experience on androcur. I began the treatment in june, but the dosage I took was too strong. So after 15 days I decided to stop because I was tired and had some digestive problems. The effect was there, sex drive was reduced and the sensation was good for me. The normal situation came back but slowly and all the summer was necessary.

Near the 20th September I decided to take again the treatment with a less strong dosage (50mg per day). I knew the effect should be more longer but I thought that it was necessary to be patient.

Now after 2 months and half, my sex drive has vanished and I like this situation. I’m less aggressive and more calm.

Side effects I had :

Two weeks ago, in 2 or 3 days, I had hot flashes and this week I was very tired and depressive. Actually in the night my sleep is disturb.

I think now, my emotion is more sensitive. I was not depressive for the lost to the sex drive but for other problems I have

Today it seems to me to be better and for the moment have decided to continue the treatment

Your opinion or advice are welcome.

I have only one question. It would be very interesting for me, what kind of digestive problems did you had?

the digestive problems came because i had some disturbances of liver fonction.

It is one of the possible side effects with high dosed androcur treatment.

How nice to read about someone who is pleased that their sex drive has vanished. May I ask what your level of curiosity is; for example, do you have desires to masturbate or achieve erections?

In my situation, I have used female hormones and Spirotone. I just went perhaps, four days without masturbating. For me that's great! I am hoping that eventually these desires will go away altogether.

There is no doubt that I rarely get excited by visual stimulation any more. Sometimes thoughts will excite me, but I don't seek masturbation for the fun of it. More than a half year ago, I would have to masturbate daily -- perhaps more than once. Now it's just to gauge the changes to my body. Hopefully I will just get frustrated trying to get an erection... and stop it.
