Seven doctors from Cedars-Sinai Hospital and the medical schools of UC San Diego and Stanford University have published an article on the benefits of bilateral orchiectomy for transgender patients. In addition to survey questions that they asked, there is a step-by-step guide for best practice surgical technique. The guide includes seventeen detailed steps to perform a safe castration and has a link to a 22 minute instructional video of the procedure.

Safe castration is a complex and delicate procedure.

The article is open access. Just click the link.

Excellent paper! Thanks for the link.

The video is also excellent for anyone that wants to know the (not to) gory details of what the docs will be doing / did to you in your sleep....
