Hi , my name is Mark, and Im new here. Im a gay male ( bottom) and have thinking, fantasizing , about having my testicles removed. I have had these thoughts for a long time. More than 15 years or so. I had never thought about a penectomy, didnt know that could be done , but it would be even more perfect.
Im not transgendered, do not want a vagina, but would like to be completely smooth below the waist.
Can something like be actually possible. Are there surgeons that will do this type of surgery. Im not interested in some back alley surgery
Thanks

Welcome, and I hope we can help you figure out what your best path is...
First off, it is important to really and truly be certain that any sort of surgery is completely what you want - it is a ONE WAY trip, after the big snip there is no gluing the bits back on... So you really need to do your homework about what it means from no longer being able to "write your name in the snow" to the serious concerns about hormones and bone density, etc....
So we will likely be asking a lot of questions to help you decide the question of whether your desire is 'real' or 'fantasy'. A couple that I think are particularly relevant are:
1. Whether you think / fantasize more about the procedure or about what life will be like afterwards?
2. Do you have particular desires about the circumstances of the removal - who does it, erotic scenes, methods, etc Or are you OK with the reality that it isn't going to be any different from any other non-erotic procedure... (I compare my surgery to being about the same as getting a colonoscopy minus the messy cleanout...)
All of what you describe is absolutely possible and it is likely that you can find surgeons that will do it within driving distance of your home, and with some or all of the costs covered by your insurance; but there are a lot of "Hoops" that you will need to jump through in order to make it happen.... It will be largely similar to what a transgender person would do, as we are considered transgender even if we only go 'half way"...
I'd suggest downloading a copy of the WPATH "Standards of Care version 8" from the WPATH website - this is the 'bible' for any medical people in the Transgender field... Version 8 has a chapter specifically for Eunuchs, but I strongly recommend reading the entire thing at least a couple of times....
Then, or along with it, I'd suggest searching for and connecting with a local Transgender clinic or center...
Good luck on your journey!

Thanks for the reply. I mostly fantasize about life after surgery. For the surgery itself I want it done in a clean, sterile medical environment. . I want to go under anesthesia, and wake up a changed man. I can see why the would group this with trans surgery. The small subset men wanting the external genitalia removed and with no further reconstruction is likely very small.
Also wondering about foreign hospitals . There are surgeons in Europe and in Mexico that cater to Americans.

Those fantasies and desires for care do point towards it being 'real' though that's just a quick guess...
Certainly your procedure description matches my experience - roll into the OR, go to sleep, then wake up a bit lighter...
I will let others that have gone the 'full nullification' route go into more of the details, (L.T. could you chime in???) but would suggest that you might want to consider a urinary 're-route' as part of your plans... According to others just lopping off the

makes it a bit of a challenge to pee neatly because the exit point will still face forwards... Most get the reroute that moves the exit to a new location just ahead of the anus, roughly similar to a female configuration... That way it is simply a question of having to sit down...
Many posters here have reported being very happy with the results they got w/ Dr. A in Mexico, and I've seen a few recent positive reports about Thailand hospitals....
However unless you have really strong reasons not to, I'd still suggest trying to work w/ your local Transgender clinic, as they should be quite capable of doing the same things w/o the expense and hassles of travel, and it is quite likely that your insurance will cover most of the costs.... It is arguably a bit slower than tourism, but you will need to jump through most of the same hoops to get a reputable foreign doc to agree to do the job...
