This is my all-time favorite EA story. Perfect mix of sadism and consent. I'd actually like to write a sequel. Is that permitted? Does anyone know how to get in touch with Talen, the author? Their email address is defunct.

I'm not a mod, but have seen this question come up in other threads, and this is based on the responses I've seen in those as well as my understanding o copyright in general...
My understanding is that while it is good to contact the author and get an OK, it isn't strictly required, especially if you have tried unsuccessfully... Given the age of the story and that you haven't been able to reach Talen, it probably wouldn't be an issue, especially if you give him credit in your intro and a link to the story...
