Back on Lupron after a break

A couple of years ago I went on my quest to kill my testosterone to help control my fantasies / fetishes, porn, etc.

I was finally able to get a doctor to start me on Lupron injections then. But last fall I had to terminate them because of the intense hot flashes. Other than that It was doing a great job of controlling my libido. It got to where I didn't even think about sex or any interest on porn, etc. After stopping Lupron Oct 2023 I thought the effects might be permanent but very slowly my craving returned. Last week I decided it resume injections and today my doctor injected me with 3-month Lupron. I know from experience that I may not feel any effect for a month but I will be looking forward to that. I am going to see if I can get a boner daily and report back here weekly to tell of my progress. It is such a relief knowing the Lupron in in my body and will begin working soon.

Glad you have been able to get back on your path. I hope it goes better for you this time around, perhaps more like mine, where I'm still not 100% sure whether I was having hot flashes when it kicked in - we were having problems w/ out AC system so I'm not sure if it was sweating because of hormones or just being hot... However I know that I wasn't sure if it was doing anything until I actually had a level test that showed undetectable T....

I was only on Lupron for about 3-4 months (doing monthly shots) as my doc put me on estradiol patches which have kept me at undetectable levels since (both before and after surgery)

Since I was already nearly totally non-functional before starting, I can't say what it did about getting erections...

1 week update. I still can get an erection and really can't tell any difference. I know las time it took nearly a month to feel the absence of T. My deviant sexual thoughts are running amok.....

it's now been 15 days since my Lupron shot. I can get an erection but it doesn't last long nor is it hard. Otherwise, I feel the same as the day I started back on it. Still having thoughts & feelings I don't like. Charts show by 3 weeks in the T has dropped to under castrate level. We'll see....
