You must have a compelling medical reason.

Don't know about getting it done in a hurry - given that it's a MAJOR transition, any reputable shrink is not going to want to rush into writing a letter w/o some pretty good reason to believe that it's a genuine desire on your part.... Do you have any evidence of already taking steps towards a transition, i.e. chemical castration, lifestyle changes, existing medical contacts, or ????

If you can find one, I'd start by reaching out to your local TG center / support group and see if they can suggest people. When I needed to get my letters my existing TG doc referred me to a couple of shrinks that her center worked with, and they made it pretty low hassle. However I was coming to them from a known medical referral, and had already been doing chemical stuff for several months, so they didn't need a lot of additional convincing...

A doc that works with a TG center is also a better bet since they will be used to patients asking about such things and won't be weirded out by the question....

Why the rush? Doing this is worth doing right, and that can take time.

People have been known to receive their letters fairly quickly, but you seem as if you want them written yesterday.

Do you know all the steps required to achieve this in your country? Do you have a surgeon picked out?

You'll need to know all that before you get this quick letter you're after. They need to have a place to send that latter, after all.
