Good hospitals for orchiectomy without medical need

Post by Downtown83 (imported) »

Hello,

I am new here since today and this is my first post. I decided to conduct an orchiectomy because I want to lower my sexual drive, but don’t have any other medical necessity. In this situation as I guess u all know it’s quite difficult to find a hospital that conducts the operation without too much psychological evaluations (I feel this is embarrassing), but also offering good medical standards at not too high costs.

I am currently living as a western foreigner in China (here no chance for this kind of operation from my perspective) and was looking at other options. My current choice is a good international hospital in Bangkok. Some psychological preevaluation also necessary there, but seems not too difficult. Quality and price seems both ok…but then: I have no real clue at all and don’t know anyone personally who did this already.

Therefore I registered here and wanted to ask if someone has other good recommendations regarding hospital.

Maybe it was posted here in the Forum before, but I did not find it.

Many thx in advance!

Welcome, hope you can accomplish your goals the way you want.

I have not seen any specific recommendations on hospitals in Thailand, but the country has a pretty good reputation for good work in gender mod surgery of all sorts, and high standards for health care quality. I know we have had folks here in the past that have gotten surgery there and been happy with the results.

I don't have any links to suggest, but I know I've seen sites in the past that were specifically focused on helping folks find hospitals / clinics in Thailand that did the surgery. If you can find them it might be a good place to start the search, but I'd probably want to do some due diligence in checking the reputation of the hospital for more 'typical' sorts of care...

Good luck in your search!

Thank you very much for your quick reply! I am currently in exchange with Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok for this operation. From what I can find online it looks good. If here is anyone with specific experience I would highly appreciate the sharing!
