Hi,

I've been taking trt since 2008. I use to do 100mg a week via Im injections

I ve been down to 80mg per week the last 5 years or more. Now my testerone is testing off the charts. So we are going down to 60mg per week.

Does T absorbtion slow as we age? I'm not active and have become less so over the years. Am I just not burning it off?

SHBG tested fine.

I'm curious what kind of levels you're getting at 80mg/week. I can go really low, down to 40mg/week and still be at the low end of normal range for total t and free t at the high end.

Last week's blood draw, I injected on Monday, and had the draw on Wednesday. The Testosterone result was >1500 with 1500 being the highest they can read. SHBG was 42 with normal being between 22-77.

In May injected Monday drawn on Thursday T was 1101

In Nov 2022 it was 757

Biggest difference is I tested 2 days after my injection instead of 3.

This is the first time I lined them up to look at them and they aren't all At the top of the range 199-1586, but he does think they are higher than they should be when I've tested close to the injection day (next day or two days).

I don't have a problem going to 60mg and seeing how it goes. If i feel differently I can easily go back or try and hit 70mg.

It's almost like there's something wrong with your vial of T. I would ask your doctor because it doesn't make sense. My T level on 200 mg per week was around 1400. How are you feeling at those levels? I felt terrible at 1400 and it got worse with time.

are you sure you are injecting 100mg/ml Testosterone, sounds like the pharmacy has given you 200mg/ml which is double your 100mg/ml. Check your bottle!

Mine is 200mg/ml and I inject .4cc per week which = 80mg

I have health issues and never feel great, so it's hard to say how the T levels make me feel, honestly. I'm going to drop down to 60mg with tomorrow's injection and see how that goes and if I notice anything good or bad.

Off the top of my head I don't remember what level my Endo wants it to be, but I'm thinking the 800-1000 range as a maximum after each injection.

I'm almost 60 so don't need to be high normal anyways

Wow, that's incredibly high for that dose. I got close to that at 200mg per week but I also have always tested six days after injection.

I checked with my Endo and was right, he doesn't want it going over 1000

I'll see how it goes on the lower dosage.

I do 0.5mL of an amp of 1mL 125mgs

I have never gone over 450

I have issues with high hematocrit and that leads to high feritin eventually.

I did completely stop TRT for about 18months. The hormonal fat effect was massive and I am still paying for it now. If I had not had my blood tested and the CT of my liver I was 6 months from liver cancer/ failure.

I suggest you avoid chasing T numbers and look at over all health especially liver health as TRT can be hard on the liver.

I'm not chasing numbers, they are just coming in too high at 80mg per week (.4 cc/ml). I'm not trying to go off of TRT or anything.

I see my endocrinologist regularly.
