A Mind of Its Own

A new book I can recommend is 'A Mind of Its Own: A Cultural History of the Penis' by David M. Friedman (368 pp, published by Robert Hale). As the author does not confine himself to the penile shaft, there are good references to castration, as well as much other very interesting information about male genitalia & attitudes towards them, past and present.
