For those in the US, and those who may have other holidays this time of year, I hope you're all having a fun and productive Labor Day weekend! :) It's been sort of quiet here this weekend.

It's one of the few "Stats" (Statutory Holidays) that most people get off with pay in Canada. Others are Christmas, New Years, Family Day (called different things by different Provinces) and one or two others.

I've succeeded in doing nothing but make myself lunch and dinner, with one load of laundry rounding out a beautiful day of sitting in the sun and reading.

Fun, but rabidly unproductive!

Was less quiet than I would have hoped... By chance I went over to the other building at the maker-space to do some work in Fabric Arts (aka sewing and so on) I went to use the restroom and found we had another instance of the recurring issue we have w/ the plumbing clogging up and sending a stinking flood out the ladies room door....

(It appears to be a bad design in the drains - A T-junction where all 4 restrooms join together...)

Got to give credit to our landlord - I called their emergency center, and they had the plumber out and got the clog out and back in service (and even mopped up the stinking flood) by shortly after midnight....

Did keep me from getting a lot of the work I was planning done as I had to hang out by the door to let them in instead of doing quality time on the sewing machine....

Labor Day has been a national holiday in the United States since 1894. To many, it may signify picnics, parades, a day off from work, or the end of summer and beginning of fall.

But the day actually celebrates a long history of U.S. workers and their immense contributions, at various periods of time under extremely difficult conditions, to the country's might, abundance, and success.

Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated on the first Monday in September to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States.

I spent the entire weekend doing things that if I described them here, would make a lot of people's hair stand on end... At least those who are not gay. 👹

We gay boys are a naturally curious lot when it comes to spending time with others like ourselves. Let's just say I got to experience some new things, and am glad I got to.
