Hello from Germany,

I'm a 66 y/o male from Germany with the wish of orchiectomy and possibly penectomy. In Europe and especially in Germany this is not easy to realize, so I'm searching for real possibilities. I found different contributions form men castrated and all were very happy with this. Best way seems first use things like Androcur or similar to see if all goes well. So I'm interested in long time experienses of any kind.

I hope we help you find the information you are looking for, and that you get to reach your goals.

As an American I am not at all expert on how things work in the EU, but I've heard that it is relatively easy to get this type of thing done in the Netherlands. Is that close enough to where you are in Germany to be a possibility?

I'd also try searching to see if there is a Transgender Center or clinic anywhere near where you live, and if there is, reaching out to them as well. WPATH, the association that deals with gender related things fairly recently released a new "Standards of Care" that addresses the needs of folks like us, and hopefully will make life easier for us.

I'm working my way through this and it has been slow but relatively easy, and I'm now counting down to a surgery date in late September.,

I know some folks find the idea of a Transgender Center a bit different from what they were expecting or thinking in terms of, but it sort of makes sense. While not the same as a full switch between male and female, technically those of us seeking castration and / or penectomy are seeking to change our gender from "Horny Guy" to something in the middle. The surgery is essentially the same as what is done in a full Male -> Female switch, it just stops sooner, so the surgeon would need the same basic knowledge and skills.

At any rate this is the class that our medical people want to put us in, so we need to be used to the idea.

It is not so difficult to be castrated legally in Germany in a clinic. In principle, there are two possibilities away from SOC8: the castration law and gender dysphoria. I can gladly explain both via PM.

First step is done!

today I visited my family doctor and told her that my sexual urge is terrorizing me, because I left nearly 50% of my sexual feelings after a stroke in 2008. It feels like a ruined orgasm and is not worth the action. She reacted really cool and told me that I am the first one with the wish of castration and she needs to inform herself about this theme. So I'm waiting for her recall.

The second step has been done!

Yesterday, after a long wait, I finally had an appointment with the urologist. In addition to the preventive examination, there was also a blood test for PSA and testosterone levels. Finally I told him that I would like to try chemical castration. He prescribed “Finasteride” for me and I have my next appointment for a check-up in six months. Since today I have been taking “Finasteride” and will see what awaits me.

Gestern hatte ich nach langer Wartezeit endlich den Termin beim Urologen. Neben der Vorsorgeuntersuchung gab es noch die Blutabnahme für den PSA- und den Testosteron-Wert. Schlieslich sprach ich Ihn darauf an, dass ich gerne eine chemische Kastration ausprobieren würde. Er verschrieb mir „Finasterid“ und in einem halben Jahr habe ich dann den nächsten Termin zur Kontrolle. Seit heute nehme ich nun „Finasterid“ und schaue was da auf mich zukommt.
