Website Recommendation

I am looking for website recommendations from members.

Here is the deal. I got a call out of the blue that my brother had died. He did not leave a will, so it falls to me to handle things. He was actually a talented artist and I got the idea of a website showing photos of his work.

1. Any suggestions on a reasonably priced website that a non-technical person (ie me) can build and edit.

2. One lady I was talking to suggested etsy. She said that people could buy images on the website. I would do that if the money went to something like an animal rescue that he would have supported. Anyone have experience with etsy or selling images?

Thanks

Ditto what grapesoda said, my sincere condolences on the loss of your brother.

I don't know a damn thing about the internet or anything "I.T." so I am sorry that I can only suggest lame things like "ebay" or "craigslist" to sell anything. There are all sorts of "professionals" who are in reality thieves who go around offering their services to conduct "estate sales" but I would strongly caution you against that sort of thing. My freinds who have used such services have all had very bad experiences with them.

My condolences on the loss of your beloved brother.

Your brother was a talented artist. Maybe he was a landscape painter or painted portraits...

Usually famous artists bequeathed their works to museums.

~~~~~~
It is impossible to create an interesting visual art site for the public without the participation of an art critic.
Works performed on canvas or on paper need to be "digitized". This is a complex technical process. This requires a special studio equipped with sophisticated equipment ...
Undoubtedly, it is best to turn to professionals!
In almost every city there are small museums that organize exhibitions.
There are general education schools that have a department of teachers of art education.
Maybe weebly ( https://www.weebly.com ) or wix ( https://www.wix.com ) or SquareSpace ( https://www.squarespace.com ) ?
Also, I echo what others have already said: My condolences and sympathy for the loss of your brother.
You got me thinking about contacting the art department of his university about organizing a show of students who have passed.
