When I was about 8 or 9, my grandparents gave me this song on an old 78 rpm record. I had a wind-up phonograph with a steel needle connected to a thin metal diaphragm for sound. All mechanical, no electricity. The other Burl Ives record that I wore down to a smooth disk of shellac was

I remember annoying my parents by singing excessively about said fly...
In more modern times every time a certain song comes on the radio, I think of how simply switching a few words would make it a great MtF trans them "I wish that I WAS Jesse's girl"....

There are days that songs get stuck in my head, and sometimes, even an old ditty from childhood will pop up and say, "Remember me?" I'm here for the day!

I don't think I've ever, at all, not once since I got online in 1996, heard an unprompted reference to the Propellerheads in the wild!
