Your experiences on depo

Hello all, I've been on this forum for years, previously under a different SN, but never posted. For the longest time I've been intrigued by the concept of chemical castration and am more invested in the idea now than ever before. I'm a straight male, simply looking to experience the "eunuch calm" and see what life is like without being obsessed with sex.

I've read basically every forum post here tagged with depo provera, but wanted to ask separately about other members individual experiences. My plan is to only take 1 IM dose of DP, and see how I respond rather than the recommended 300. I prefer to try using depo as I don't want to keep up with a daily pill such as androcur. Additionally I enjoy the thought of "no turning back, once the meds are in your sex drive is done for a short while".

My questions are this point are, has anyone had negative reactions to depo?

How long did it take before you noticed a real change?

Short of maintaining erections and libido, were you able to carry on as normal in your day to day routines?

Were emotional changes noteworthy?

On a scale of 1/10, 10 being completely unable to become erect, at the peak of depo in your system, how hard was it to perform sexually? Was the desire completely nuked? Did you still desire to please your partner?

In the short course of depo for a few months at most, did you notice any feminization? I don't desire feminization hence my curiosity.

Thanks to all in advance for your guidance and advice here :).

I tried depo several times from 2009 onwards. Back then it was easily obtainable from Inhouse and Goldpharma and the drugs were genuine. It takes a few weeks for it to fully take effect (anyone who tells you it takes effect immediately or dramatically is lying) but when it does, you won't have a sex drive and you won't fantasise about the things that turned you on previously. This is why it's used on sex offenders in many countries. You will be able to get an erection if you actually decide you want one; you're not impotent, but you won't get the morning erection when the drug is in effect. I didn’t find it at all debilitating even when I took a high dose and there was no feminisation at all. There was one time I got depressed but I'm not convinced it was purely down to the drug. The last doses I took had no effect on me at all. I'm convinced that ineffective fake medication is being sold on the black market now as a result of government clampdowns targeted at other illicit medication, some of which is dangerous.

That's been one of my other concerns. Looks like back during COVID, based on other posts here, that there were a lot of dud medications on the market. Makes you wonder what exactly you're getting.

Maybe a valid question I should have added initially; has anyone recently ordered depo from inhouse that can vouch for its legitimacy?

Anybody else care to chime in with their experience on depo?

In-house are a long standing supplier of medication. They always state where the drug was made. I have bought depo from them, but not recently. I buy drugs from them all the time

Hi there,

I am reading this post concerning depo provera and in-house. I am very interested to know more about how to obtain treatment. Let's say for a six-months period to have a full result and then wait for a while before restarting. At this very moment I practice a rather mechanical way to avoid erections with always smaller chastity cages and for longer periods. But that is quit painful at moments and the result is not 100%. How to proceed with a chemical castration?

Welcome to the Forums!

In answer to your question, there are lots of options, some more permanent than others, it sounds like you are just wanting to do a 'test drive' to see if you like it?

We don't advise any sort of self-medication procedure, as it is much better and lower risk to do major changes to your body chemistry like this under medical supervision. However, I don't know what services are available to you, or how willing any providers will be to do short term experiments. Try reaching out to any local TG community resources and see what they say.

That said, if you are determined to follow the Do-It-Yourself route, from what I've heard Depo is relatively safe and effective. However you do want to be careful to get it from a reputable source. I don't have any experience w/ Inhouse, but all the posts I've seen here have said that they are pretty reliable and good to deal with. I'd also STRONGLY advise doing a lot more reading and research, both here on EA, and on other sites. It isn't completely a match, but medical info sites addressing transition for M->F transsexuals is mostly going to be a reasonable starting point.

Good luck on your quest!

Correct, looking to try a trial run just to see how I like it before considering something more permanent. Everything I've read shows great promise for depo via in house most recently so I'll plan on giving them a shot soon. I had hoped more people would chime in with their individual experiences with depo by now.

I used to use DP a lot and had a stretch of several months on it in 2009 or 2010 or so. The most recent batch I got from them, however, did nothing for me. I don't know if I had become resistant due to being on and off it, but it was odd as I had had the same problem with that drug under other names (e.g. Clinovir) from Goldpharma which also used to be a bona fide supplier but later orders from them led to my receiving duff medications that had no effect. I have a hunch that it relates to government crackdowns on these grey-market pharmacies. It's a shame as when I first took it, it was brilliant; reduced my libido to nothing, especially in terms of fantasies. Wasn't impotent but I had to actually want to get an erection, it wouldn't just happen.
