Sorry if I’m posting this in the wrong place, but I was wondering if anyone could help me find a story. I read it years ago but I can’t remember the end.

A man meets a gay woman, despite him being a guy they hit it off and I think they get married. The problem is, all of her lesbian friends stop speaking to her, uncomfortable with a man, she’s lonely without her friends so he decides to get castrated, since he no longer counts as a man, her friends suddenly start speaking to her again.

There was no violence or threats, although there was a lot of peer pressure.
