OK, I am really getting frustrated about finding information about pure penectomies. I have seen Tom's great web site and I think that his surgery was great. Here's the problem, I feel there are some strange people on here but I don't care. People have their rights to think and act as they wish and I applaud them for it. I am happily married with 4 kids and all are very young. My wife is tired of sex. She loves my but just is tired of having sex at all. On the other hand I am overly arroused alot of the time. I have always been true to my wife and never cheated, but it is frustrating to have an overactive libido and still want to make my wife happy. We have talked for about 3 years about a penectomy with castration such as the one on Tom's website - www.bmeworld.com/smooth.

I am frustraterd about 1)Finding a good surgeon that can perform the surgery like the one mentioned above. 2) The cost of the surgery, My wife and I can't afford it especially with 4 kids. and 3) This is very personal between my wife and I and I want it very private. I would be embarassed if others found out that know me, but my wife and I are totally prepared for the surgery and really feel it would be benefitial to our relationship.

Advice? Save up the money for a visit to Dr. Kimmel. This will reduce your sex drive to the point that you will be "in control". Once you get a legal castration, it may or may not be easier to find a Urologist willing to do the penectomy. Or you may have to save up more money for a trip to Thailand.

You could go with chemical castration and I would recommend it for you as the first step. This will let you see what it is like not having a sex drive and then you can base your decision of some reality. I don’t think you have any idea the changes that you will experience, you may be able to explain them on paper but you have not lived it. It is not just that easy to cut it all off and life is grand. You say you and your wife are all for it, she is not the one having it all cut off. I don’t mean to discourage you but if you were chemically castrated for a year, you would experience what it is like to be a eunuch and if you like it then make your trip to see Dr Kimmel, figure it will cost you between 4 and 5 thousand.

I think you need to take your time and think this through some more. We are all here to help in any way we can and many of us have gone down that road and are happy with the results, I know I am.

I agre with RIVERWIND first i think a person that is thinking about castration should use chemical castration first. You donot know how you will like it unles you try it first rember that surgery to remove testicles and penis is permanent and cant be put back togeather .I am on depo provera and i can say i donot care about sex anymore and my wife and i are very happy with this drug. As for penectomy you may not feel the need to do this once you have removed your sex drive. Good luck on your quest.

I sure do appreciate the advice. I've thought about all the possible solutions. Chemical or physical castration may be the route We/I am willing to take. From all the research we have done it may seem the best thing to do.

Honestly I'd say unless you are generally just wanting your penis gone, leave it alone. It is a much more difficult operation (apparently, I have not had it done) than castration is. Castration is what will give you the desired result of a lower sex drive.

I'm with the others here, that is the route to go. I'd highly recommend going the chemical route first. This way you can see if this is want you truly desire without going to the extreme of having your testicles physically removed.

If it is what you want, you can get your testicles removed later. If it isn't, you can come down off the drugs and you still have your testicles.

...and while you are at it make your old lady get hers cut as part of the deal.

After all, she doesn't want to use it again, does she?
