Not sure if androcur will show up as such, but it seems unlikely since they won't be looking for it.... However obviously if it is doing what it's supposed to the test will show very low T, and that would count as an 'abnormal' result, especially if your doc isn't aware that you are taking it... In that case you are likely to get hit with more tests of different sorts to find out why you have low T...

No, they only test for the hormones specified for that particular test.

This is something I have wondered about...
Androcur is supposed to be a testosterone blocker. So does that mean the testosterone is still floating around your body but just not being absorbed or used effectively?
If so, wouldn't a test for testosterone still show a normal level, even if it wasn't being used by your body?
Just curious...

My understanding is that Androcur both blocks T and shuts down its production.
I can definitely state that folks here that have done androcur have reported T test results at castrate levels while on it.

Every time I had tested, 1,5 months after starting androcur, my T levels have been below 50ng/dL. Lowest 17ng/dL. I can tell that I can feel the difference wether it is 40ng/dL or 17ng/dL. Levels below than 25-30ng/dL make me feel much more castrated.
But if T, FSH LH are not tested, noone could tell you take androcur.

As someone who has taken Androcur for 4 years, and now permanently chemically castrated for over 10 years, and have been tested for different hormones as well as testosterone numerous times, this has been my experience.
First, as Nathan74 said, if we were tested for hormones other than testosterone, the report would not look for testosterone and won't report whether it was high or low. And as far as I know, there is no test for Androcur specifically. So, to answer the original question, if you got a, let's say, thyroid hormone test, Androcur levels or testosterone levels will not show up because the lab will not be looking for them.
During Androcur use, my testosterone test results came back showing "abnormally" low results. The doctor then did not make much of it.
After stopping Androcur use for years, my testosterone test results came back still showing "abnormally" low results. The doctor then did not make much of it.
It was only when I raised an issue of the low testosterone and any possibility for osteoporosis did the doctor refer me to an endocrinologist to assess for osteoporosis and put on testosterone replacement therapy as part of treatment of my osteopenia (early stage osteoporosis).

Generally testing parameters are very narrow, covering the most common values.
But i guess when an endocrinologist sees the low testosteron values I think they might deduce it in the end.

Nice to reach such low T numbers. What dosage did you use to get below 50 ng/dl?
