Violent Night (R)

I really don't remember the last time I was excited to see a movie.

Summary: Some criminals make the mistake of taking a family hostage on Christmas Eve. One problem - the child believes in Santa, is on the Nice List, and Santa's pissed! Time for some "Season's Beatings"!

The trailer there literally triggered a sexual response in me.

Actually, I've always fantasized about causing millions of dollars in damages and casualties on Christmas Eve.😄

Just wow!

No, seriously, that looks like a movie I'd like to watch (considering my general luck with movies - oh dear Cthulhu let it not be: 'all good things are in a trailer' kind of movie).

No, I don't think the protagonist/victim lives in a trailer park. It seems her family is rather well-off.

I remember it was during the 80's that "Silent Night, Deadly Night" came out, we were very excited to see it, too.

1984

Little Billy witness his parents getting killed by Santa after being warned by his senile grandpa that Santa punishes those who are naughty. Now Billy is 18, and out of the orphanage, and he has just become Santa, himself.

No, I referred to the tendency of recent movie trailers to include ALL good scenes from the movie, and the rest of the movie being bland and boring.

In the words of Simon Cowell,

So, yeah... That's a NO from me.

Oh, how I want to believe in the almighty Santa, who can punish the villains and restore peace in the current turbulent time!

As FHunter said, I really hope they didn't show all the good bits in the trailer.

I have to remember that bit about the bag full of pool balls, though. That was a good one.

Well, being as how it was Christmas, I figured it was a good day for a Christmas movie, so the GF and I went out for Chinese, and then went to see Violent Night... It was as advertised quite violent... A few implied groin injuries and one scene involving threatening a hostage with applying a nut-cracker at it's name-sake... Humor was not a strong suite, it had it's moments but was mostly low key or in the 'Three Stooges' sort of bad things happening to deserving bad people...

I enjoyed it, and it was good to be able to have the GF try out watching a movie w/ descriptive audio (she is legally blind) but overall I'd say wait for it to hit the (discount) video market...
