seeking surgeons in UK for orchidectomy to prevent recurrence of prostate cancer

I am writing for my father who lives in England and has had prostate cancer which is well treated. He is in his late 70s and has side effects from triptorelin (Decapeptyl).

He would rather an orchidectomy (orchiectomy).

An NHS surgeon has said he will perform this only if his oncologist / urologist says it is indicated in writing, which the specialist will not do - even though the treating physician acknowledges in person that this is a rational choice based on the research literature.

My questions for the eunuch community are:

1. Anyone know of an oncologist / urologist in the UK, private or NHS, who may agree to recommend this as the preferred treatment? Or a surgeon who will perform on patient request given the above?

2. In asking the following, I mean no offense to those who have identified as eunuchs for most of their lives. I have read that in the UK gender affirmation has become more available and WPATH approves of orchidectomy for those who seek it to affirm eunuch identity. Thus, if my father identifies as a eunuch, would this be an alternate route to getting a surgeon to perform this via a gender affirmation clinic in the UK? What clinic(s) and process would he need to receive approval for an orchidectomy to affirm eunuch identity? Either on NHS or private pay - specific recommendations would be appreciated.

3. My father could also travel to Europe but does not want to travel further, but would prefer the procedure in England, optimally on the NHS, if anyone knows of options in the EU especially Germany near Hamburg has he has a friend there and visits from time to time.

Thank you!

Hello, I have seen your posting and I understand very well. Sorry, but I am not from GB, but perhaps it’s not the problem. As ever. I try to get in contact with you and we can discuss. Of course the best is a private institution or doctor. The surgery is not really difficult. Of course it’s not so fine, if your father had cancer. Not so seldom. I can see in your personals, that you are interested for yourself, too? Your father, in such an age it’s better to be carefully. I am totally that the orchiectomy is the best thing. NO risks should be. The result, the surgery is the best. Chemicals can be for a while, but it’s not really the best. Maybe you want to discuss about. Rgds. Hans.

This was only to ask for my father, not me; I made a mistake on the profile and have corrected it. Please private message if you have names of clinics or physicians with their website and contact information for UK or DE, if you are not comfortable posting it on this board. Thank you.
